Feelings of resentment can be a clue that you are not being assertive enough. Maybe you are too compliant, always falling in with other people's needs and desires and. Maybe your opinion is always discounted, or indeed, not listened to when you say it, but vigorous nods of approval when someone else repeats it. Sometimes we want to please people and end up doing their work as well as our own. It can be hard to say no. If this sounds like you, then a bit of assertiveness training won't go amiss. This is part of what the Behavioural in Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy (CBH) involves.
